Members in the train drivers’ union ASLEF are taking part in the second day of strike action this week as part of their long-running dispute over pay.
The strikes are taking place in over a dozen train operating companies on Saturday 3rd June, including Avanti West Coast, which would have been bringing thousands of football fans from Manchester to London for the FA Cup Final.
Workers in the train operating companies affected haven’t seen a pay rise since 2019.
