Misinformation is a Weapon of Mass Destruction

On 19th June in Leith, Edinburgh, a bare-chested loony tried to “protect our country” by stabbing five innocent people. Local man Kenny said that Leith’s only problem was drugs, a problem starting in the 80s. These people weren’t suspected drug dealers, they were attacked for one reason. I’m not going to give it credibility by calling it ideology, cos you’ve got to think about an ideology.

This was down to brainwashing.

This is what happens when you fail to think critically.
When you believe all the shit you read in the headlines or in a Facebook comments section.
It doesn’t even matter what paper it is. You just see trigger words.

Muslim. Boats. Illegal.

Anger is the natural reaction to injustice. It is a powerful force. The establishment knows this and, as it’s they who cause and gain from the injustices we suffer, they don’t want our anger turned against them.
Misinformation is also a powerful force, so it uses it against us.
Your enemy’s not the greedy landlord, the corrupt Councillor or the snide boss, it’s them lads with beards and funny hats.

Similar things happened back in 2015 when another divvy, Zack Davies tried to murder a Sikh dentist in Tesco’s. As “revenge for Lee Rigby”.
The neo-nazi nobhead tried to kill a British-born Sikh after he’d read about Muslim converts* killing a British soldier. He was stopped by Peter Fuller, a former British soldier.

This wasn’t the only “revenge” attack inspired by media coverage of the murder.

The language used by our media instils fear and uses the anger we rightfully have, and shifts it from them, the establishment, to groups who don’t have anything to do with causing our everyday miseries.

They throw phrases at us without explanation. They wouldn’t give you one if you asked. They’ve tried to condition us to not even think of a context.

Terrorism. Taking over.

Our way of life. Women and kids.

Chopping up all the Muslims isn’t going to stop innocent victims of gang wars, angry drivers mowing down pedestrians, child abuse or rape. Muslims aren’t trying to take over our country and “our” country isn’t even run by us, it’s run by Them. Not foreigners, immigrants, but our ruling class. They are “them”.

The media makes us think all this is caused by muslims/illegal immigrants. Those two terms aren’t even interchangeable. You can be Muslim without being an immigrant. You can be an immigrant, arriving with or without a passport and not be Muslim.

Does it matter though? Not to them. As long as you aren’t fighting the system, you’re fighting for it. In some ways soft lad up in Leith was protecting the country, if you can’t tell the difference between the workers of the country and the masters who run it.

It’s no accident if you’ve seen the phrases “Islamo-socialist” or “Islamocommies” in print media or online. The state knows socialism, and an angry, organised working class will destroy it. They’ve spread fear of the foreign amongst us.

That’s why they cause attacks like this.
To get us to attack their enemies and fight our own kind.

*Ironically, they had also been brainwashed, by Al-Qaeda – an organisation set up to help US-backed mujahedeen fight the Soviet Union in Afghanistan.
